my website is done!! also. i think consumerism is a moral failing, but it's one that we're all trapped inside to varying degrees. it's like. idek. it's like getting down on yourself or someone else for surviving. you can't. and i'm not saying we should all just lie down and accept capitalism, either, i guess i'm saying that we could do more together than individually & that maybe we should be working together to make survival, for everyone, vastly different than it is now and less of a trap. a trap where if you don't get hurt its because you're hurting someone else. that's not a world i want to live in. maybe i'm a weirdo but i'd rather take the L and take the risks of being hurt over and over myself for even a small chance at something. better

your website looks great! also i think i get what you're saying. a lot of our creature comforts come from the backs of someone else, someone else's exploitation. so in a way it is a moral failing but a societal one that we currently have to work against when & where we can. and i agree. part of why i found the idea of mutual aid work appealing is it's sort of building that potential future but on a small scale and in the present

i absolutely LOVE this website, i can't believe how well you recreated the Windows Vista/7 Aero theme i couldn't even get it to look that close with actual Windows 11 themes

i agree obviously. the way i see is if you're gonna make corpo crap, at least make it look pretty you know!! tho some would argue liquid glass is obviously based on aero. so detailed design might be slowly but surely making a comeback

limovars July 17, 2025 at 5:49:47 AM

dear lakes, a guestbook comment feels more appropriate than email for this… i read your latest blog post and totally get what you mean. it’s so important to have revolutionary optimism! and for those who don’t believe in it, they need to pick up a history book! so many good things only exist now because people fought for them, and we must continue the fight smile

thank you!! honestly nathan fielder shows scratch an itch i didnt even know i had! honestly i wish his shows had fanlistings, but if they did, i'd probably never have made that fanpage. since i made my fanpages to compensate for the lack of fanlistings for certain interests i have. also because i feel like on my blog, i tend to focus more on software/tech & politics. so i wanted to give my other interests a chance to shine

I love your site so much, so many great pages!! bouncey The world needs more funky winamp skins!!

Replied on: June 26, 2025 at 7:46:02 PM

thank you so much!! i assume by winamp skin, you mean some of the images used for the music page, since i think some windows media player skins became winamp skins later.
